Teen accidentally shot by step-brother

TUSCALOOSA - AL — With a gunshot though his right arm and shrapnel in his chest, a 16-year-old went to DCH-Northport with serious injuries after an accidental shooting in the 500 block of 34th Avenue in Tuscaloosa. His step-brother, 20-year-old Zhalil Ware, is charged with 2nd degree Domestic Violence Assault after admitting to police that he was playing with a gun.

Only one shot fired and there were no other injuries. Ware is in Tuscaloosa County Jail with a $30,000 bond. His step-brother's wounds are not considered life-threatening.
