GREENSBORO, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a west Alabama woman died in a house fire after helping save her three children.
WBRC-TV (http://bit.ly/UaON0z ) reports that 29-year-old Melissa Rabon of Greensboro died in a blaze early Monday in Hale County.
Authorities say the woman and her 12-year-old son helped two younger boys get out of the structure before she was overcome in the fire.
All three children survived. They are 12, 7 and 2 years old.
Mentha Rabon is the victim's mother. She says the boys need attention because they lost everything in the fire.
Hale County emergency managers have set up funds at People's Bank of Greensboro and The Citizens Bank to help cover funeral expenses and care for the boys.
