Center Point man charged with Homicide

Posted: Updated:
23 year old Alfred Douglas Davis, of Center Point, has been charged with murder and attempted murder, accused of shooting two of his neighbors. At about 6:30 am on July 7 deputies responded to a residence in the 900 block of 21st Avenue NW in Center Point to investigate a report of a person shot. They found 40 year old Agila Flennory dead on the scene and his 18 year old nephew shot in the leg.

Deputies say that they determined that a neighbor, Davis, had come to the back door of the home and asked to speak to Flennory. When he was told that Flennory was asleep he asked that someone wake him up because it was an emergency. Flennory got up and went out into the backyard along with his nephew to speak to him. Davis allegedly shot Flennory who fell to the ground. The nephew ran, but was shot in the leg. He was later treated and released from the hospital

Davis was taken into custody at his residence immediately following the shooting. He was formally charged this morning with charged with murder and attempted murder and  is in the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $135,000.
