Dallas, TX - The Dallas Cowboys have traded for former Alabama linebacker Rolando McClain.

ESPN was the first to report the deal which involves the Cowboys trading a 2015 sixth-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for McClain and a 2015 seventh-round pick.

McClain would have to come out of retirement to play for the Cowboys. He's called it quits twice in the past 15 months. McClain retired in March 2013 and after sitting out last season he had a brief comeback before retiring again in April.

McClain was the No. 8 overall pick by the Oakland Raiders in the 2010 NFL Draft. The Raiders released him after the 2012 season.

In three NFL seasons, McClain had 246 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
