Trevor Releford to play for Atlanta Hawks summer league team

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA - GA - Former Alabama player Trevor Releford will suit up for the Atlanta Hawks summer league team.

Releford, the Tide's all-time leader in steals (263) and totals games played (134), did not get selected in last week's NBA Draft so he had the opportunity to pick and choose which summer league team would give him the best opportunity to showcase his skills.

Releford led Alabama in scoring (18.5 points per game), assists (3.1 per game) and steals (2.2 per game) last season.

Former Florida player Casey Prather and former Vanderbilt player John Jenkins are also expected to play for the Hawks next month in Las Vegas.

Atlanta's summer league season runs July 11-21 at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion in Las Vegas.
