Report: Alonzo Gee dealt to Charlotte Hornets

Posted: Updated:
Charlotte, NC - The Charlotte Hornets are reportedly set to acquire former Alabama star Alonzo Gee.

Gee has played the last four seasons with the Cavaliers. Cleveland will reportedly get center Brendan Haywood and rookie forward Dwight Powell in exchange for Gee.

NBA trades cannot be completed until July 1, per league rules.

Gee was Cleveland's starting small forward for most of the 2012-13 season and averaged 10.3 points and 3.9 rebounds.

He's averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds throughout his four years with the Cavs.

Gee was a two-time second team All-SEC selection (2008, 2009) at Alabama.
