ANNISTON, Ala. - A Calhoun County man faces capital murder charges for an overnight shooting.

Police arrested 32-year-old Lonnie Spinks of Hobson City early Thursday morning.

Marlin Monroe Jones, 55, of Anniston died from a gunshot wound to the back.  Anniston investigators said Jones was involved in an argument around midnight at a house in the 3500 block of West 14th Street in the Central City community.

Officers secured the residence and detained several individuals at the residence for questioning.
