Armed robbery at Dollar General under investigation

CLAY - AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is looking for clues in an armed robbery at a Dollar General store.

It happened Friday just after 10:00 p.m., at the location in Clay. The suspect forced an employee to the front of the store, by pulling her by the hair. He took money from the register then hit the employee in the head, knocking her on the ground. The suspect fled.

Witnesses say the man was about 5'10" and weighed around 180 lbs. No vehicle was seen. If you have any information call Crimestoppers at 254-7777. You will remain anonymous.
