Several buildings lost in Sulligent fire

Sulligent fire fighters fought a huge blaze late Saturday night. The fire reportedly consumed several old buildings on Front St.

It took fire fighters several hours to contain the blaze with help from surrounding fire companies. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation but initial reports say it may have been caused by a lighting strike.

Fire crews are still on the scene this morning monitoring hot spots as the investigation continues. There have been no reports of injuries at this time.
