BIRMINGHAM - AL - Birmingham police caught a father-son duo and charged them for the recent thefts of urinal parts in Birmingham's south side.

Thursday morning in the 2900 block of Clairmont Ave, task force officers stopped a green F-150 that fit the description of the perpetrators' vehicle.

Jeffrey Barker, 44, and his son, 26-year-old Joseph Barker were arrested during the stop. Police found some of the stolen parts and say the Barkers sold other parts to local scrap yards.

They each are charged with 2 counts of possession of burglar tools and 1 count of giving false information while selling metal. Each warrant carries a $15,000 bond. They were transported to Jefferson County Jail

The investigation continues and could yield more charges.

Police say Barkers targeted popular eateries; McAlister's, Arby's, McDonald's, Burger King, Guthrie's, and Waffle House.
