Character-driven Horror Tabletop Rpg orbis Aerden: Reign Of The Accursed Is Now Live On Kickstarter

Posted: Updated:

Dunstable, UK – Dead Eyed Shade Games, an independent production company, launched a Kickstarter campaign for ‘Orbis Aerden: Reign of the Accursed’, a horror tabletop role-playing game that takes place in a Gothic Victorian setting. Reign of the Accursed blurs the line between works such as the World of Darkness, Game of Thrones and the Cthulhu Mythos.

“Been looking forward to this.”
“I’m in. I love the look of the minis.”
“First time I pledge on a crowd-funding campaign.” – Kickstarter Supporters

Reign of the Accursed promotes the kind of character-driven drama that is found in popular TV-shows and combines it with psychological, philosophical and personal horror. The result is engaging, sandbox game-play, based on the personalities of realistic and multidimensional playing and non-playing characters.

”I cannot wait to see how this will turn out! I’m very enthused about this project!”
“Can’t miss these miniatures.” – More Kickstarter Supporters

“What if H.P. Lovecraft had written about vampires in the Victorian Era?” In Reign of the Accursed the players assume the role of tenebrous godspawns, descendants of the accursed God. These powerful beings once ruled the Aerden but their greediness and disregard for their mortal subjects caused humanity to revolt and drive the tyrants to the brink of extinction. Over the course of centuries the accursed effaced their existence from the sight and history of men, becoming unassailable in obscurity. Tonight they walk the streets of the Aerden in the guise of their prey. But there are horrors far more perverse than the accursed godspawns, enemies of all that lives or not.

Orbis Aerden: Reign of the Accursed will be on Kickstarter until the 15th of June. If you are a horror enthusiast, if you like Gothic Victorian aesthetics or if you are a fan of the works of H.P. Lovecraft, then this is something you don’t want to miss. Other than the hardcover and digital core-book, the soundtrack and a ready chronicle, the campaign also offers high detail, digitally sculpted 32mm miniatures. Early-bird specials are still available for almost all rewards so make sure you get there in time.
