Officer Keary Hollis was the off duty officer shot and killed on Bush Boulevard in Ensley Saturday night. Police say he got into an argument with a man and the man shot him. Hollis, a five year veteran on the force, was pronounced dead on the scene.

A fellow officer was on duty responding to an accident on I-59 South near Arkadelphia Road around the same time. He was hit by a car and taken to the hospital. He's undergone surgery for several broken bones.
