Alabama prep stars nominated for U.S. Army All-American Bowl

The push is on to become a U.S. Army All-American.

The selection committee for the high school bowl game released a list of 400 high school players that have been nominated, including 11 from the state of Alabama.

The final roster of 90 players will be announced this fall.

The Hoover Bucs had three players nominated by the U.S. Army All-American committee, and Shades Valley, Pinson Valley, Southside Gadsden and Central Tuscaloosa also have players on the watch list.

The U.S. Army All-American  Bowl is scheduled for Jan. 3, 2015 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

    Auburn and Clemson have agreed to a two-game series beginning in 2016.
