Birmingham police take 2 into custody during incident near East Lake

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Two people were taken into custody Monday following an incident with Birmingham police near East Lake.

Officers were seen arresting the pair near an Interstate 59 overpass in the 8400 block of 2nd Avenue South shortly after 1 p.m. Details of the incident weren't immediately made available.
