San Francisco, CA, United States of America – March 21, 2014 /MarketersMedia/ —

To secure the best future, attending the right university is often the single most important decision young people can make. For young people in Canada, they have a unique opportunity to attend world-leading American institutions that are right on their doorstep. To find out more about these, the US College Expo is an essential date in the calendar. This year, PrepSkills is sponsoring the event to help get the word out, and help hopeful applicants nail their SAT preparation and SSAT preparation.

The event annually attracts over four and a half thousand students with an outstanding representation of talented individuals, with 70% having a GPA of 3.7 or above. But GPA isn’t the only measure by which these top colleges accept students- which is why PrepSkills is an ideal brand partner for the conference.

PrepSkills and the conference are focused on preparing for the unfamiliar world of American College admissions. This covers everything from familiarizing and preparing Canadian students for standardized testing including PSAT, SAT and ACT.

A spokesperson for PrepSkills stated, “Testing is only one aspect of the process that Canadian students need coaching on as the whole process can be daunting if you are unprepared. We inform students on a plethora of factors US Colleges analyze including full high school transcript grades 9-12 and most importantly the uniqueness of the student and common application aspects such as the personal statement and supplementary applications. It’s vital students understand that there is more to being successful with applications than just testing scores.”

At the US College Expo students will be able to listen to amazing guest speakers including Olympic gold medalists and business luminaries, who will talk in detail about what these educational opportunities have to offer and what students should consider when applying.

A spokesperson for US College Expo explained, “We are thankful to PrepSkills for enabling us to make this the best US College Expo yet, and we certainly have an amazing array of speakers and education institutions lined up for our attendees to take advantage of. We have a huge range of video and images that explain the expo in more detail, and students and families can register now for April 25th-26th. We have a full schedule of events from high school guidance counselors to private and public exhibits and seminars, so there is sure to be more than enough to keep attendees stimulated, and plenty of opportunities to open doors with leading institutions.”
