No arrest yet in a triple shooting on Birmingham's North side.

Neighbors are alarmed and calling for more help keeping the peace.

When Birmingham Police arrived to a house in the Smithfield area, they found three people suffering from gun shot wounds in the back yard.

"We had no idea this kind of activity was going on or could go on in Smithfield and we're very disappointed in today."

Neighborhood President, Shirley Gavin Floyd, says neighbors are banding together following an act of violence.

Around five o'clock Tuesday, police taped off this house on 4th Terrace North after they found three men shot, one victim, shot more than once.

Lt. Sean Edwards says, "We're still trying to iron out what took place here since we had multiple victims."

Police says the victims are in their 20's. It's not known whether any lived in this house.

Not long after the shooting, police questioned one person.

The scene brought out numerous people, who didn't want to talk about the severity of the crime.

Floyd says it's not common for something like this to happen.

"This is a neighborhood where everybody knows each other and we bond together so for something like this to happen, it's quite out of the ordinary."

With no arrest made, she now wants to see extra patrols in Smithfield to keep the community safe.

"We're asking for prayer and we hope this can be resolved with no friction or retaliation."

As for the conditions of the victims, all three men were taken to UAB hospital with non life threatening injuries.
