BIRMINGHAM - AL -

The Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama is around the corner.  Motors will be running in Birmingham April 25 - 27 at the Barber Motorsports Park.  A lot of people will be traveling into the magic city, and if they fly into the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, they could see a symbol of the race.  As the official airport of the race, the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is showcasing an Indy racecar in the terminal.

The sleek, red car went on display March 11 in the upper level pre-security ticketing area.

"We are really excited to have an Indy show car in the airport for our visitors to see up close and photograph," said Toni Herrera-Bast, Birmingham Airport Authority spokesperson. "We hope it will create a buzz about Indy and all of the great events going on in our city year round."
