HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A blast of cold air will bring a chance of snow and much colder weather to parts of Alabama, bringing freezing temperatures as far south as the Gulf coast.
National Weather Service forecasters say a dusting of snow is possible across northern parts of the state Tuesday night as a cold front passes through.
Temperatures are expected to begin plunging Tuesday night across much of Alabama.
In the Huntsville and Florence areas, low temperatures are expected to be around 18 degrees by early Thursday.
Low temperatures by early Thursday are expected to be around 23 degrees in metro Birmingham and 28 in the Montgomery area.
Even as far south as Mobile, temperatures by early Thursday are expected to be around 32 degrees.
