Missing 14-year-old Pelham girl located unharmed in Hoover Friday morning

PELHAM, Ala. -- A 14-year-old Pelham girl who had been missing for nearly a week was found safe and unharmed in Hoover Friday morning, police said.

According to Pelham police, Kaitlin Hedderly was located and returned to
her parents, who last saw their daughter shortly after midnight on Feb. 1 at their home on County Road 35.

"The Pelham Police Department would like to thank the public for their concern and assistance," authorities said in a release. "Pelham P.D. would also like to thank the local media for their coverage of this case."

Police didn't give an exact location as to where the teen was located.

    The family of Justin Sollohub took him off of life support three years ago Monday. "He lived from the 24th to the 25th for the organ donation," Jeniffer Morris said about her son. "Organ donation needs to be important to everybody. We never know, when there's somebody in our [family], when it hits home, that somebody needs an organ.
