Jameis Winston sounds like he's willing to make the NFL wait.

Florida State's Heisman Trophy winning quarterback indicated to the Associated Press that he will spend two more years at school, despite being eligible for the NFL Draft after next football season.

"I plan on playing baseball next season anyway," Winston, who is a two sport star, told the A.P.

FSU football coach Jimbo Fisher said he expects Winston to stick around too.

"Everybody says, well he's going to stay one (more) year and leave...I think it'll be two," Fisher said on Wednesday.

Winston, a former Hueytown High School star, was a consensus All-American quarterback in 2013 and led Florida State to the BCS Championship.

He's also a preseason baseball All-American according to Baseball America. Winston is a relief pitcher and part-time outfielder for the Seminoles.

"Obviously, I'm not even worried about the draft and stuff like that," Winston told the A.P. "I'm worried about winning championships here at Florida State."

Florida State opens the baseball season against Niagara on Friday, Feb. 14.
