Reggie Torbor will be introduced as the new football coach at Restoration Academy on Friday morning.

The former Auburn defensive end and eight year NFL veteran will replace DeWayne Coker, who is stepping aside to concentrate on being the Bulldogs athletic director.

Torbor earned second team All-SEC honors as a senior at Auburn in 2004. He was a fourth round pick of the New York Giants. Torbor helped the Giants win the Super Bowl in 2008.

Torbor also played for the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

According to a press release to announce the hire, Torbor's most recent work included being the co-founder of the First and Five Foundation which acts as a mentorship program for teen girls and boys.

"I'm excited to be the head football coach at Restoration Academy because it will give me the opportunity to disciple and fellowship with young people," Torbor said in the press release. "I benefited greatly from the influence of mentors growing up and I hope to do the same for the next generation of students."

Restoration Academy has reached the AISA Class A title game in each of the past two seasons. The Bulldogs are expected to compete in Class AAA beginning in the fall.
