CULLMAN COUNTY - AL -

Investigators want to know what happened moments before a mobile home caught fire in an RV park in Cullman County.

Three people died as a result of the fire.

Cullman County sheriff Mike Rainey says that witnesses reportedly heard arguing and the sound of an explosion.

Seconds later, two men came running out of the camper on fire.

The camper was home for 51-year-old Irwin Owens.

A 9-1-1 call came in around 11:21 AM Friday from a campground worker.

Witnesses, who wouldn't go on camera, say Owens and his brother-in-law 54-year-old William Mills
ran out of the burning camper. Both men on fire.

A fire inside the camper quickly spread, trapping Owens' sister 58-year-old Sandra Mills inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

William Mills and Irwin Owens were transported to UAB hospital. Both died Friday night.

Cullman County sheriff Mike Rainey says there was an odor of gasoline at the crime scene. And, that the accelerant may have been used inside the camper.

Now, investigators want to know what happened before 11:21 Friday morning. Any information to help explain just what led to this. In hopes of giving closure to the victim's families.

Sheriff Rainey says his office will sit down with state fire marshals on Monday as they continue this investigation.
