TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- A Tuscaloosa County jury has acquitted a 25-year-old man charged with shooting six people wounded by gunfire at a birthday party nearly two years ago.

The Tuscaloosa News reports (http://bit.ly/19CX5oY ) a jury found Donald Deshun Wynn not guilty Friday in all six shootings at a Cottondale party last February. Defense attorney Mike Upton said Wynn and his family were "just very relieved" by the verdict.

Witnesses who were at the party told jurors somebody came in demanding money before firing the gunshots. Some prosecution witnesses identified Wynn as the shooter, but others weren't sure. The defense called witnesses who said they were "100 percent sure" Wynn wasn't the shooter.

A second man charged in the shootings, 25-year-old Tivon Rollie Thomas, is scheduled to stand trial in April.
