Birmingham police has released the name of the man found shot to death in the middle of a street in Ensley Saturday afternoon.

Quintin Long, 22, of Birmingham, was found shot and lying in the street near the intersection of 33rd Street and Avenue E just before 3 p.m. Fire and rescue crews were called to the scene, where the pronounced the victim deceased.
 
Investigators have since learned that prior to his death, Long left a nearby apartment complex in a vehicle being driven by an unknown suspect.

Police haven't made an arrest in the case and are asking anyone with information to please contact the homicide unit at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.

Birmingham police are investigating a shooting death after a man was found dead in the middle of a street in Ensley.

Officers were called to a report of a man shot near the intersection of Avenue E and 33rd Street around 3 p.m. Upon arriving, police found the victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

It is unknown at this time if an arrest has been made as an investigation remains ongoing.
