Cullman County Chief Deputy Max Bartlett says an elderly male was found dead Thursday at his home near the intersection of HWY 157 and St Joseph Drive. Cullman County Coroner's Office identifies the victim as 71-year-old Frederick William Galin.

Galin's friends had not heard from him in a while, so they asked police to make a welfare check. Police arrived and made a forced-entry into Galin's residence. They found him dead, believed to be murdered.

Police are looking for the suspect.
