Kenneth Crittenden pleaded guilty today to money laundering before Judge Sharon Blackburn. Crittenden had served previous time in prison after pleading guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance in 1993.

The special assistant to Birmingham Mayor William Bell who worked at CrossPlex, was indicted in October. The charges accuse Crittenden of using his personal business, E-Z Auto Sales, to conceal the proceeds of drug trafficking activities.
