Highlands UMC announces Christmas week plans

Highlands United Methodist Church will begin Christmas week on the Fourth Sunday of Advent, December 22, 2013, by having a Holy Communion service at 8:30 a.m. The 10:30 a.m. worship service will include music from the String Quartet and the Children's Christmas Pageant.

Christmas Eve Services begin at 4:15 p.m., Tuesday, December 24, 2013.  Choir Master and Organist Rick Phillips will lead the Music of Christmas Choral Concert.  It will feature the church's celebrated Möller pipe organ. That service will be followed by A Candlelight Service and Holy Communion at 5 p.m.  

The church will provide nursery during the services.  Another Choral Concert of the Music of Christmas will be offered at 10:15 p.m., followed by the Candlelight Service and Holy Communion. at 11 p.m. The Rev. Mikah Hudson, Senior Pastor of HUMC, will lead the services.

There will be a Community Breakfast Christmas Day at 9 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
