According to a news release, Birmingham is a finalist for the following:

Division II Winter Festival for 2017 (Includes Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field, Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving and Wrestling)
Division II Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving for 2015, 2016 and 2018
Division III Women's Volleyball for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017

In total, the bids would amount to 21 championships over four years.

"We are excited that of all cities that bid we are the city with the second highest number of finalist bids in only our first time participating in the bid process. This success is a credit to the hard work of the staff, the state of the art facility and the leadership of the City," said Mayor William Bell in a news release.
