Aunt, nephew accused of burglary in Etowah County

Deputies with the Etowah County Sheriff's office have arrested a woman and her nephew and charged them with burglary in Altoona.

Sheriff Todd Entrekin says deputies arrested 32-year-old Cynthia Honea and 21-year-old Ryan Honea, both of Boaz. They are charged with three counts of first-degree theft of property, one count of second degree theft of property and two counts of third degree burglary.

Investigators say Cynthia and her nephew broke into two houses on October 30, 2013. The incidents happened at houses on Little Cove Road and Warrior Valley Road in Altoona. Items such as a four-wheeler, multiple tools, an archery bow, a television, digital camera, cookware and several guns were stolen. A few items have been recovered. Both suspects are being held in the Etowah County detention center on $60,000 cash bond each.

Deputies are also searching for a third suspect. They need your help to find 28-year-old Bobby Smalley of Arab. If you have any information on his whereabouts, call Investigator Ben Greene at 256-546-2825.
