Vestavia Hills man, 63, arrested on drug, gun charges after FBI's search of home

A Vestavia Hills man is facing a handful of charges after the FBI raided his home Wednesday, police confirmed to ABC 33/40.

According to Vestavia Hills Police Lt. Brian Gilham, 63-year-old Joseph Gandy was taken into custody at his residence located at 2216 block of Gay Way and has since been charged with one count of trafficking OxyCodone and OxyContine, one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a short-barrel firearm.

Gandy is being held in jail on bonds totaling $1,045,000.

Along with drugs, authorities seized between 95 and 100 guns from the home.
