Birmingham's comprehensive plan will help shape the city's development for the next 20 to 30 years and Wednesday the planning commission is expected to vote on a key piece of the plan.
The comprehensive plan's Future Land Use Plan map has also been revised and will be presented for adoption at this public hearing. It's the section of the plan that would that would dictate land use. It could be the answer to getting rid of abandoned houses and buildings in the Magic City.
The public is invited to give input on the plan. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16 at 8:30 a.m. at Birmingham City Hall in the City Council Chambers.
Residents who cannot attend the meeting are encouraged to send ideas and suggestions to email@example.com.
