Adopt a friend

Adopt a friend!

Posted: Updated:
BIRMINGHAM - AL -

Many months ago we lost our old friend Copper.  He was the best beagle in the world.  He grew up with my three boys and was part of the family.  It was  hard to say farewell.  One of my sons said we should adopt another pup who needs a home.  I agreed it could help with that hole in our hearts.

We can never ever replace Copper.  But we can offer a loving home to a pup who needs one. Ok so I have three boys, three dogs and a gunea pig!   What a great family huh?

Well one of my face book friends knew I had lost Copper and has been making suggestions of dogs to adopt.  I went to Pet Smart one weekend, just to look! Ha.

That's where I met Krissy Ya Ya!  She is a yorkie mix.  She looks like a female Benji.  If you recall the old movie of the homeless adorable dog?  That's her.  She is perfect and perfectly adorable!  She is so good and for the most part is house broken.  But she is so easy and wonderful.  She loves to tag along with me just about everywhere.  I agreed to foster her for a while.  But now she has stolen my heart and I want to give her a forever home!

Why am I telling you all this?  Because if you are even thinking about getting a pet, check out Rebecca's Paws and Claws at Pet Smart in Trussville on the weekends.  These are dogs and cats rescued from a kill shelter.  And somehow, I think they know just how lucky they are!

 God Bless!
