Weather Forces Changes To Halloween Plans

Posted: Updated:
BIRMINGHAM - AL -

There is a potential for some severe weather in our area tonight, just in time for trick or treating. Several organizations have announced a change in their Halloween plans ahead of the rain. Here's a list of changes we know about:

Cedar Bluff Trunk of Treat Postponed until Saturday. It will be held in the Town Park beginning at 5.

Taylor UMC Church on Sweeney Hollow Road in Center Point moved their Trunk or Treat event inside.

Shades Mountain Independent Church in Hoover will move their event to 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

New Life Assembly Of God in Pell City will hold its Hallelujah Night Friday night. It will begin at 6 p.m.

City of Vernon businesses changed their Trick or Treat hours until Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The football game between Northridge High School and Paul W. Bryant High School has been rescheduled until Friday. Kickoff will begin at 7 P.M. at Northridge High School.

Hilltop Festival Festival at Birmingham-Southern has been canceled. It was originally scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Organizers say candy will be handed out the college's front entrance between 5 p.m. And 7 p.m, barring severe weather. Tonight's Organ Spooktacular will roll as scheduled at 9 p.m.
