BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Three Birmingham men and one juvenile have been arrested and charged in connection with an investigation into a burglary on Crestwood Boulevard last week, police announced Wednesday.

Deangelo Williams, 28, Reginald Martin, 18, and Lawrence Terrell Ford, 23, are charged with burglary for their roles in an incident Oct. 24 in the 5500 block of Crestwood Boulevard. A fourth suspect, a 15-year-old male, is also charged in the crime.

According to a release, the four suspects were reportedly acting suspicious in a wooded-area behind some homes in the area around 1 p.m. Officers responded to the location after being alerted of a possible burglary in progress and upon arriving, police saw the suspects flee the scene after being approached by some concerned citizens, who witnessed seeing the four in possession of electronic equipment.

Burglary investigators and officers apprehended the suspects a short time later in close proximity to the original location. Police later determined the electronics were stolen from a nearby residence and three men were taken to the Jefferson Count Jail while the teen suspect was transported to the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Center.

Information regarding bond amounts wasn't made available.
