Second Installment of Aquent's MOOC Platform to Teach Web Design Skills to Creative Professionals
BOSTON, Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Aquent, the leading global staffing organization dedicated to marketing, creative, and digital talent, today announced the launch of a second course developed by Aquent Gymnasium, a revolutionary MOOC (massive open online course) initiative aimed at closing the skills gap faced by creative organizations worldwide. Beginning today, front-end web developers can enroll in Aquent Gymnasium's latest free online course, "Responsive Web Design." The course will teach participants best practices for building response websites that adapt to different devices and user behaviors. Essential elements of responsive web design included in the course's 12 lessons are: designing with ?exible grids; deploying fluid media with responsive images; using CSS media queries; responsive web typography; the mobile-first approach; in-browser design, tools and resources; and responsive web design work?ows. By the end of the course, participants will have built a sample responsive website from scratch.
