Revelers filled and surrounded the Legion Field stadium for the 2013 Magic City Classic. Organizers said 63,000 ticket holders attended the game.

That number reflects an increase over last year's numbers, but falls shy of the 70,000 needed to fill every seat in the stadium.  The game has never sold out in its 72-year history.

President of Alabama A and M University Andrew Hugine said the event "gets better, and better, larger and larger each year. They continue to add other activities that would be of interest to the fans."

Hopes to set a world's record for the greatest number of people dancing the "Wobbler" were dashed when fans couldn't hear the aging stadium's inadequate sound system.

Rapper V.I.C, who flew to Birmingham to lead fans in the dance, said he was disappointed in the sound system. "Nobody could hear nobody."

More corporate sponsors than ever supported the event, which is the best attended historically black college football match-up.
