How long is a full term pregnancy for a expectant moms?
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists released new definitions of pre term and full term pregnancies.
Until now, a baby was considered pre term if born before 37 weeks of pregnancy and full term if born anytime from 37 to 42 weeks.
Now, ACOG recommends, early term is between 37 weeks and 38 weeks 6 days. Full term is between 39 weeks and 40 weeks 6 days.
Late term is the 41st week.  Post term is after 42 weeks.
Experts say more time in the womb can benefit a baby's development and health.
The new definitions appear in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology.
