Friday Night Blitz continues to inch closer to the end of the regular season, and several high school football teams have already begun to lock up playoff spots and region championships while others get set to make their final push for post-season berths.

This week's Blitz Game of the Week pits two one-loss, Class 4A schools together in a Region 5 contest with playoff implications on the line. Jemison (7-1) will travel to meet Calera (7-1) Friday night with a No. 2 seeding in the playoffs up for grabs. Mike Raita and al.com prep sports editor Jeff Sentell, who breaks down some of this week's biggest games here, will discuss this matchup in-depth and others during Blitz Gameday live from Ricky M. Cairns Stadium beginning at 6:15 p.m. Watch the show on air or online here.

Following Gameday, Raita will take to the air in the Chopper Blitz with scheduled stops in Fayette County and Winfield. See both teams' opponents below.

After the games, Raita and Jeff Speegle will saddle up for Friday Night Blitz set to begin at 10:20 p.m. to share scores and highlights from the night's most anticipated games, which you can also see below. It's not too late to download the ABC 33/40 Sports app to follow all the scores from around the state, as well as college and pro football scores throughout the weekend. Apple users, click here.
