OXFORD, Ala. -

Oxford police are investigating what they believe is a murder-suicide involving a married couple.

The Talladega County coroner said 50-year-old James Rosa and 49-year-old Curry Rosa died Tuesday at their home in The Plantations subdivision off County Line Road.  Police investigator L.G. Owens said the Rosas died from gunshots.

Officers found the bodies Tuesday afternoon when they went to the Heritage Way home to conduct a welfare check, after Curry Rosa did not show up for work at Westinghouse in Anniston.

Police are waiting to identify who fired the shots, as they continue to notify family members.  Investigators do not plan to request autopsies as the causes of death are not in question.
