A Jemison man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a Sunday stabbing death. 34-year-old Jeremy Richard Brasher, of Jemison, was found in the 1000 block of County Road 152. He had been stabbed at least twice, once in the chest and once in the abdomen. Jemison Police Chief Shane Fulmer said Brasher was transported to Shelby Baptist Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Jemison police officers were given a description of the suspect and were able to locate him and take him into custody not far from the crime scene.
