3 relatives arrested in meth lab bust in McCalla

Three relatives were arrested on meth charges in McCalla Wednesday night, police said.

Tuscaloosa County sheriff's deputies and Lakeview police officers went to a home in the 20000 block of Sycamore Road to investigate a report of meth being produced as the location. Upon arriving, authorities found two men -- 21-year-old Hunter Blake Lucas and 20-year-old Shawn Jefferson Lucas -- in possession of a one-pot meth lab. A relative of the men -- 23-year-old Cynthia Lucas Hassell -- was also at the home and found in possession of a syringe and finished meth.

According to Facebook, all three suspects are siblings.

Both men were charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. They are being held in jail on bonds totaling $105,000.

Hassell was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held a $15,000 bond.

An Agent with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force assisted in the investigation.

    A federal judge is delaying his decision on an Alabama law that could close some abortion clinics.
