Week three of the 2013 college football season was headlined by top-ranked Alabama's Southeastern Conference opener against No. 6 Texas A&M in a Western Division showdown Saturday afternoon, and the game lived up to the hype.

Other league schools in action included a rivalry matchup for Kentucky in its game against No. 7 Louisville and Heisman Trophy candidate Teddy Bridgewater. The Cardinals quarterback struggled against the Wildcats, throwing only one touchdown in the contest but his team went on to put away Kentucky 28-13.

Tennessee, led by first-year man Butch Jones, had a tough draw on the schedule as they traveled across the country to take on second-ranked Oregon in Eugene. The Volunteers were throttled by the Ducks and Marcus Mariota, who torched Tennessee's defense for 456 yards and four touchdowns through the air. The final score:  Oregon 59, Tennessee 14.

No. 8 LSU cruised to a 45-13 victory over Kent State in Baton Rouge. Tigers quarterback Zach Mettenberger threw for three touchdowns in the win while running back Jeremy Hill rushed for two more.

Coming off a scare last week against FCS and Southern League member Samford, Arkansas remained undefeated with a 24-3 win over Southern Miss at home. The Razorbacks will play Rutgers next week before opening SEC play Sept. 28 when Manziel and the Aggies visit.

Auburn opened league play at home against Mississippi State, and it was a dogfight until the very end. With just 15 seconds left in the game, Tigers quarterback Nick Marshall hit C.J. Uzomah for an 11-yard touchdown and the eventual game-winning score. The junior college transfer signal-caller finished the night with 339 yards and two touchdowns passing. Auburn moved to 3-0, 1-0 in the SEC.

No. 13 South Carolina appears to be in line for a win over Vanderbilt in Columbia. The Gamecocks lead the Commodores 35-25 late in the fourth quarter.

Ole Miss is taking advantage of a reeling Texas team in Austin as the Rebels currently lead 37-23 in entering the fourth quarter.

The needed repairs are the result of a January cold snap that ruptured the air conditioner coil in the library's main air handler. Parts have been ordered, and repairs will be scheduled once the parts arrive. Starting Monday, April 28, the downtown location at 2100 Park Place will open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m., Mond...More >>
