iSyncr for iTunes smoothes the transition from iPhone to Android
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- With the big changes that Apple users will experience when Apple debuts its new iOS 7, many iPhone users may look to switch to an upcoming or newly released Android phone.
According to Gartner.com, 79 percent of worldwide smartphone sales are attributed to Android. The Android appeal is that it allows for a more unique user experience than the iPhone. Widgets and customizable desktops allow each Android device to differ from the next. Android devices are also considered less expensive to buy and service.
When making the switch, one problem past iPhone users have typically run into is moving their iTunes libraries onto their Android devices. Android has more than 850,000 apps available to download, one of which solves the problem of syncing all of users' music to one device. Recently named to TIME magazine's 50 best Android apps of 2013, iSyncr for iTunes allows Android users to sync their iTunes media to their Android devices.
The brain child of top-developer JRT Studio in Austin, Texas, iSyncr works with a companion desktop download that connects the Android device via USB to sync an iTunes library to an Android system. The desktop software supports features such as album art, the capacity to sync multiple iTunes libraries and sync playlists and activities on the phone back to the computer. iSyncr also has the ability to sync from iTunes to Android through Wi-Fi.
iSyncr is available in PC and Mac compatibility modes for $3.99. There is also a lite version of the app available for download, which doesn't have play count syncing for smart playlists, syncs only one playlist at a time and allows only 20 items per playlist.
