Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange has been given a temporary restraining order to stop a company accused of making unsubstantiated health claims about its products from selling them.

Officials said Thursday that Strange charged SWATS -- Sports With Alternatives To Steroids -- with more than 260 counts of deceptive trade practices act violations.

Authorities say the company claims their products can reduce cancer risks, alleviate anemia, control blood pressure, stimulate muscle growth, increase testosterone, grow new brain cells and more.

State officials sent the products to a lab in Utah for evaluations and officials said they didn't contain performance enhancing ingredients as advertised.

Authorities say more than $200,000 in cash and vehicles were seized Thursday afternoon and a hearing for a preliminary injunction is scheduled for Sept. 19.
