Update 5:45 p.m.

After tweeting that he would be giving up football and leaving the Alabama Crimson Tide program, receiver Kenny Bell appears to have changed his mind, Nick Saban said at his news conference.

Bell will return to practice Wednesday after spending a day sorting out personal issues.

One of quarterback AJ McCarron's favorite targets over the past two BCS National Championship seasons said on Twitter Tuesday that he is leaving the Alabama football team to concentrate on his family.

Receiver Kenny Bell, a senior from Raysville, La., tweeted the following message:

"..it's been a nice run but I'm hanging up my cleats."

Bell played in 12 games and recorded 17 receptions for 431 yards and three touchdowns in 2012 before suffering a broken leg in the Crimson Tide's regular season finale against Auburn. The injury prevented him from playing the Alabama's SEC and BCS championship games.

Head coach Nick Saban is expected to address the media following the team's afternoon practice.
