Anniston police are investigating a shooting at a gas station Friday night that sent two people to the hospital.

UPDATE:  17-year-old charged with attempted murder for gas station shooting.

According to Capt. Allen George, a 23-year-old male was shot around 6:11 p.m. in the parking lot of the Shell gas station located at 1731 Quintard Avenue. Police believe the victim was involved in an altercation with another man prior to the shooting. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance. His condition is unknown at this time.

ABC 33/40 reporter Robert Richardson has learned the second victim was a 20-year-old woman who was inside the store during the shooting. A stray bullet shattered through the glass of the front entrance and struck her in the arm.

"She has what appears to be a substantial grazing wound in her right arm," George said.

The woman was also hit by shards of glass.

No arrests have been made in the case.
