Missing Tuscaloosa girl, 8, found unharmed in Adamsville; woman arrested

Update:

Police have located the 8-year-girl from Tuscaloosa who had been missing since Friday morning.

Joetaisha Jackson was located in Adamsville unharmed. The woman accused of taking her without permission, 35-year-old Sabrina Gregory, has been arrested and charged with interference with custody, a class C felony. She will be held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $15,000 bond.

According to state law, a person commits the crime of interference with custody if he or she knowingly takes or entices any child under the age of 18 from the lawful custody of its parent, guardian or other lawful custodian.

An investigation remains ongoing.

Tuscaloosa police are searching for a missing 8-year-old girl who was taken from her home Friday morning by a Sipsey woman.

The child, Joetaisha Jackson, was last seen at 9 a.m. outside her home in the 1300 block of James I Harrison Jr. Parkway. Police believe 35-year-old Sabrina Gregory, who also goes by Sabrina Dixon, took Jackson from the residence without permission and has yet to return the girl.

Gregory is driving a 2004 blue Ford Mustang with the following Alabama tag:  48A78W7

At the time of her disappearance, Jackson was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. She had her hair in a ponytail.
