EAST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy says crews working at the scene of a plane crash in a residential neighborhood have seen two bodies.

The small plane went down Friday morning as it attempted to land at Tweed New Haven Airport and engulfed two homes in flames. Officials say at least three people are missing including the pilot and two children in one of the houses, ages 1 and 13.

Malloy says crews see two bodies but that neither has been recovered.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the multi-engine, propeller-driven plane flew out of Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

Malloy said the fuselage of the plane went into one of the homes, and firefighters found both homes engulfed in flames when they arrived.
