Two women... suffered the loss of their children... they found hope and help at the Amelia center in Birmingham... a place where parents who have lost children can get free counseling.

Now these women want to help others who have lost children.

They are raising money for the Amelia center.

For Loni Hodge and Abby Nicholas it's a matter of faith.

Loni Hodge says she had a chromosomal abnormality called triploidy it is rare and fatal. I was told I wouldn't make it to term... still born at 28 weeks February 2009.

Loni Hodge has a tattoo of little Maddox Elise Hodges feet on her feet... she says she will always be a part of her life.

Loni: "I think of her everyday she would have been four would have been ... missing her doesn't change but there's a new normal. For me to tell my story it validates she was a part of my life... tell others you're not alone."

She wants to reach out to others with a run this weekend... money raised from the run will also fund the free grief counseling at the Amelia Center in Birmingham.

Abby Nicholas also lost twin boys... and helped her form the run.

Loni: " Help families just like ours after we both lost children. Abby lost twin boys before me... we met through family we just wanted a way to honor our children and remember them... help other people going through it... you're not alone a lot of people are experiencing the loss of infant and there's support out there."

So they have formed the baby steps run which is this Saturday at Tannehill State Park.

Loni: "I could choose to be stuck in the mire and the much and just feel sorry for myself but God's got bigger plans we know with our faith we will see her."

The run is Saturday August 10, at 8 A.M. Registration begins at 7 A.M.
