A Hokes Bluff man has been charged in connection with various burglaries in the Alford Bend community in Etowah County, Sheriff Todd Entrekin said.

Brian Scott Mosley, 26, has been arrested and charged with one count of third-degree burglary, one count of second-degree theft of property, two counts of second-degree receiving stolen property, all of which are felonies. He is also charged with two misdemeanor counts of third-degree receiving stolen property and theft by deception.

At Mosely's home on Bachelors Chapel Road, investigators found several stolen items, including two Toshiba televisions, a Yamaha saxophone, a reciprocal saw, two cordless drills, an outdoor wild game camera and a chain saw. According to a release, a majority of the property was recovered and returned to the rightful owners.

"I am grateful for the community's assistance with this case," Entrekin said. "Their support of Hokes Bluff detective Tyler Roe and Sheriff's Office investigators Fred Lasseter and Lee Amerson made this arrest possible."

Mosley is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $12,000 bond.
